Guides on finding, understanding and dealing with wasp nests.
When the nest is in the roof but the wasps are turning up in the kitchen or bedroom, the question is how they are getting inside and what to do until help arrives.
Many people believe a wasp nest is safe to tackle at dusk or after dark, but a torch, a ladder and a disturbed colony make that plan more dangerous, not less.
Sheds that several people use, or that sit on a boundary, raise extra questions about who warns whom and who books the treatment.
After a wall nest has been treated, closing the entry point properly stops the same gap from becoming next year's problem.
Wasps that ignored you in June can seem hostile by late August, and the change is down to the colony’s life cycle rather than a change in temper.
