Guides on finding, understanding and dealing with wasp nests.
If you rent your home, it is not always obvious who arranges and pays for wasp nest treatment. This guide sets out the fixed cost and the questions to settle first.
Before you book anyone, it pays to be sure what is living in your roof space, because wasps, bees and other insects need very different handling.
Swatting feels like the natural response to a wasp near your face, but it often does the opposite of what you want, and the reasons are worth knowing.
Mowers and strimmers work at ground level, right where nests are hardest to see, so the hedge bottom is where many garden stings begin.
A nest in a hole in the ground can go unnoticed until a mower disturbs it, so early detection protects anyone who works in the garden.
